PT Boats, also known as Motor Torpedo Boats, were an integral part of the US Navy from shortly before World War II and into the the Vietnam War where they were used in the winding rivers of Vietnam and Cambodia. While the majority of PT Boats were used in the Pacific Ocean, a number were used in the Atlantic and Mediteranean theaters of war. In all, a total of 690 PT boats were built between December 7th, 1941 and October 1st, 1945.
